HANA
On this tour you will explore the lush tropical beauty of Maui's Hana coast. You will have the opportunity to photograph the town of Paia, Kaumahina State Park, and Keanae Valley Lookout, Pua`a Ka`a, Wailua Falls and Waianapanapa State Parks. Your journey continues with along the famous road to Hana and Hasegawa General Store. You will also have the opportunity to visit at the Ohe`o Stream and Pools for a refreshing swim (weather and time permitting). Along your journey you will discover cascading waterfalls, lush rainforests, windsurfing beaches and experiance the hidden side of Maui. Lahaina may, at first glance, seem like just another sleepy port town. But this lovely and pictureque city is full of life and brimming with history! Day or night, Lahaina is a site not to be missed. Parking is probably the only "problem" in the town, however, there are several public lots that are convenienly located. Lahaina started as an ancient Hawaiian fishing village. Then westerns and their tall ships began sailing to the islands and Lahaina became a popular town due to it's natural harbor. Several of the buildings and much of the history of the area revolves around those early years of the 1800's.
Iao Needle: The Valley Isle
The lovely, deep valley of 'Iao features the 'Iao Needle, a natural rock pinnacle presiding over the 'Iao stream and surrounded by the walls of the Pu'u Kukui Crater. Once used as a natural altar, the 2,250-foot stone pillar covered in green, is a basaltic core that has survived eons of swirling water. Iao Valley is a peaceful lush area with easy hikes, exotic tropical plants, and clear, natural pools. The ridge-top lookout offers a fantastic view of the valley and Kahului Harbor. Iao Valley is the site of one of the most famous battles that occurred in 1790 and changed Hawaii history forever when King Kamehameha I destroyed the Maui army in an effort to unite the Hawaiian Islands.Haleakala: Home of the Sun
This Hawaii tour will take you to Maui's famous dormant volcano, the spectacular House of the Sun, Mount Haleakala Crater. You will enjoy the 10, 043' summit at Haleakala National Park, the Visitor Center, Pu`u Ula`ula Overlook and rare silverswords plants. Some of the highlights you will see are unique species of birds, such at the Hawaii State bird, the Nene goose, the town of Wailuku, sugar cane fields and Ka`ahumanu Church.
